We can hardly contain our excitement to announce this week's guest curator! Kelly Uchima is a body positivity and mental health advocate who shares the message self-love with hundreds of thousands of people.
Known as @_kellyu, Kelly created the phrase "self-lovespo" as an empowering substitute for her past "fitspo" account. Kelly created a “My Recovery Diary” series on YouTube to document her eating disorder recovery and authentically shares the “good, bad, and the ugly.” She is incredibly passionate about encouraging people to dig deeper into their feelings when it comes to food and their bodies.
In 2017, Kelly launched her self-love jewelry collection, The Warrior Collective, which features empowering necklaces and bracelets with phrases like “Warrior," “Beautifully Me,” and "Wonderful & Worthy" (and they’re both gorgeous and meaningful).
Kelly is a warrior herself: she’s survived depression, anxiety and long history of eating disorders. She says that sharing her story and inspiring others to do the same has been a dream come true.
Kelly inspires us every day and we know she’ll inspire you too. We’re so grateful that Kelly is sharing her top tools for life with our community this week.
Here are just a few of the things you’ll find in Kelly’s channel:
The power of vulnerability and why listening to shame is so important
How to heal your relationship with food
How to stop caring so much about what other people think of you
20 ways to love your body
We hope that Kelly’s top tools help you develop a closer relationship with your body, feel more confident in your skin, and live the truest expression of your life.
We love you all,
The Wiser Women
