Meet Artist Rhianna Marie Chan

My name’s Rhianna (like the singer except I can’t sing to save my life). I’m a calligrapher and illustrator based out of San Antonio, Texas. A lot of my work centers around empowering women and makes a conscious effort to primarily include women of color. As for the women who womaze me - I was raised the youngest of 4 girls and the daughter of a hard-working immigrant mother, so being surrounded by their strength has shaped me into the woman I am now. I also very much look up to women like Malala Yousafzai, Lena Waithe, Beyoncé, Emma Watson, and Michelle Obama, who use their voice to empower marginalized women.
